2,600 Workstation Office Clearance for Partners Sodexo

The Challenge

Working on behalf of our partner Sodexo, this project tasked us with a clearance of over 6,000 items from two of their blue chip clients simultaneously. This involved clearing items from offices in the Strand and The Bank, ensuring a joined up process for Sodexo at the same time as tailoring our service to the individual client specification.

The Strand office also required furniture from five storeys to be cleared. While we have experience of clearing furniture from numerous storeys, the biggest challenge was undertaking this project under a rapidly changing COVID-19 landscape in bustling London districts. Please note, this was before lockdown took place

Reuse Rate

On behalf of Sodexo, the combined results for these two projects saw over 6,000 items of furniture diverted from the national waste stream to our charitable redistribution pool, achieving an incredible 95% reuse by volume.

In financial savings, this diverted XXX tonnes of waste from recylcings, saving Sodexo’s clients a combined £XX,XXX.

Perhaps most importantly, is the legacy of that redistribution. Through our School in a Box programme, this project enabled 10 shipments to be dispatched to enhance educational opportunities in some of the poorest communities of Cameroon, Romania and Seirra Leone.
