Our Story
Founded in 2002, Waste to Wonder is the ethical clearance provider working alongside some of the biggest companies in the UK to redistribute their redundant office furniture and equipment.
Our process, which includes our charitable programme School in a Box, has equipped over 1,200 schools in over 27 countries so far. We typically achieve 80-100% reuse for our customers, diverting furniture and equipment into our charitable pool which would have otherwise been sent to landfill or recycled.
With every ethical clearance project, we’re helping our customers save tangible disposal costs and create a legacy that strengthens, supports and actively demonstrates their commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility.
What We Do
UK and European Office Clearances
With 18 years experience in the logistics industry, we are a Safe Contractor approved ethical clearance specialist company working to ISO 14001, WEEE and other legislative standards, with our pioneering charitable redistribution programme at the heart of our service. Working with FM Companies, Retailers, Interior Designers, Procurement Specialists, SMEs plus many more, we expertly manage ethical clearance projects in the UK and Europe.
Save Disposal Costs
With our redistribution programme, we guarantee to save customers money by reducing quantities going to landfill or recycling that’s an immediate, tangible financial win.
Reduce Waste
By redistributing redundant office furniture and diverting items from the national waste stream, we offer an environmentally conscious alternative to regular clearances.
CSR Legacy Reports
Our process is for socially-conscious businesses. In project reports or films*, we share the charitable impact of each donation, enabling customers to demonstrate their CSR in action.

Our Mission & Approach
Our continued mission of best practice has led us to pioneer the way for ethical office clearances that minimise waste, saves disposal costs and maximises charitable reuse, actively demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibility on behalf of our customers.
Our entire business model is shaped around best practice in ethics and environmental sustainability. Our aims are to minimise waste, maximise educational opportunities and support disadvantaged communities around the world through redistributed equipment.
To date, we have supported 1,200 schools in 27 countries with CSR being not only our driving motivation but our founding principle.
We believe “Waste is the failure to take advantage of an opportunity.” By becoming the leading brand in ethical office clearances, we strive for the Waste to Wonder process to become the de facto choice for socially-conscious businesses of all sizes
Meet the Team
Innovation is at the heart of Alan’s business acumen having run several successful businesses previously, including an accountancy practice and large logistic company. He saw an opportunity to change a Neanderthal approach to companies relocating, where wastefulness was rife. Having a keen interest in the corporate branding of companies and social issues it seemed a perfect time to link the two and form Waste to Wonder. Still very active in the future development of Waste to Wonder and its new international projects Alan, as always, has more innovative plans to support customers, partners and recipients worldwide.
Vince joined Waste to Wonder in 2017 and has risen rapidly from site supervisor to board member as our Operations Director. He has Project Managed some of our largest ethical clearance projects including several thousand workstation clearances for a number of blue-chip customers. Vince’s enthusiasm for ethical reuse is infectious, bringing on new global charitable partners and improving our reuse ratios which now regularly exceeds 90%.
Hayley has a 2:1 Degree in Education and English and a passion for social care and child advocacy.
She joined Waste to Wonder after 4 years in Local Government Planning and oversees our Corporate Social Responsibility reporting.
Her role is to ascertain each charity’s needs before working with our Operations team to help divert thousands of tonnes of office furniture to good causes.
