Waste to Wonder have diverted thousands of tonnes of equipment from landfill and have equipped over 750 schools in 18 countries with office equipment and refurbished IT.

With over 35 years of project management and moves experience our Waste to Wonder team provide an ethical and environmentally managed solution to the disposal of all redundant office furniture and equipment. We aim to redistribute as much equipment as possible to local and international good causes and as a result can save you thousands of pounds in disposal costs as the items we redistribute do not incur recycling or disposal charges, unsuitable items are recycled in line with ISO 14001. Importantly our process is turn-key, seamless and non selective, we can ensure a clear footprint ready for site handover and can liaise with other contractors to minimise staff disruption.

We can support projects from 10 - 5000 workstations and redistribute typically 80% by volume saving thousands on recycling costs. For example; over several national projects completed recently for IBM we redistributed over 5000 Desks, 5000 Chairs and 5000 Pedestals to support education in Sierra Leone, Kenya and India. We also managed the clearance of over 3500 seating positions from the FCA (17 floors Canary Wharf) with an outstanding 90% going for reuse.

Project Reporting

Waste to Wonder generate a CSR and Carbon Measurement Report which highlights the charitable and environmental benefits of the project and as well as being an invaluable waste audit tool is easy to share with all stakeholders including staff who may have experienced operational disruptions as part of the project. In the past our report data has been used internally to positively engage with staff by informing them of the charities supported as well as externally in group CSR reports and marketing materials.

Waste to Wonder have delivered a WEEE compliant IT disposal service for some of the UK’s biggest companies including Reed Elsevier, ICI Akzonobel, ITV, and manage the ethical and environmental disposals of redundant IT equipment from almost 200 Dulux sites around the UK. We can manage IT collections from 1 Pallet to thousands of units on a national basis.

Unlike most “IT Recyclers” who sell off the best and may make a cursory donation of the average items we refurbish the best equipment for our redistribution pool. Our belief is that the donated equipment is a reflection on your brand and we want to ensure that the equipment donated is of very good quality and absolutely fit for purpose. Waste to Wonder proudly partner with IT specialists IQeol to safely manage your IT disposals.

Data Security is not only a business critical consideration but also a legal one. Our partnership with IT specialists IQeol ensures all data is removed from all storage devices whether that’s Hard Drives, External Drives, USB Sticks, Mobiles, Servers and even switches.

Our Data Destruction process takes place in our secure CCTV monitored facility in Henstridge and is completed to US and UK Mod Standards. We issue data destruction certificates and Waste Transfer Notes with every collection ensuring full compliance with WEEE regulations, The Data Protection Act, and supports ISO14001 audibility.
