Our #NetZero Journey first started in 2010 when we began reporting on the carbon reductions of our clearance projects, but this white isn’t just a document; it’s a declaration of our commitment to go above and beyond in environmental stewardship.

Waste to Wonder Worldwide, in collaboration with Neutral Carbon Zone is scaling the heights of eco-excellence to be the first business in the World to achieve the illustrious NCZ Platinum Certification.

This platinum tier isn’t merely a badge; it’s a testament to a fully integrated carbon management programme that’s not just about balancing the books on emissions but rewriting the narrative completely. We’re not just neutralising our carbon footprint; we’re ensuring that every step we take leaves the earth a little greener.

Our approach is holistic, delving into the often-overlooked nooks of Scope 3 emissions, those indirect carbon footprints lurking in supply chains, and turning them into stepping stones towards a sustainable future….

But the white paper is where we get into the good stuff – the juicy details of how we’re transforming the traditional office clearance service into a powerhouse of sustainability. It’s where we show the world that the path to “Better than Carbon Neutral” isn’t a pipe dream; it’s a reality we’re crafting every day.

With this white paper, we outline the tangible benefits of choosing a service that doesn’t just recycle but reimagines the lifecycle of office furniture. We’re talking serious emissions savings by dodging the manufacturing bullet through strategic reuse.

This document is more than just words on a page; it’s a map to a greener world, a strategy that acknowledges the triple bottom line: social, environmental, and economic triumphs. We’re not just cutting costs; we’re enriching communities and safeguarding our planet.

So, here’s to the real MVPs – our entire team, our collaborators, and you, our community, for believing that a “Better than Carbon Neutral” world isn’t just possible; it’s already in the making. 🤩

Download the white paper via the main menu at www.wastetowonder.com to dive into the details, and join us in this eco-evolution. Your thoughts, feedback, and passion are what fuel this green revolution. Let’s chat, let’s collaborate, and let’s celebrate because this is just the beginning.

GREEN APPLE AWARDS

Yesterday was rather special and marked another significant milestone for the whole team here at Waste to Wonder Worldwide.

Michael, Vince, Hayley and Paul travelled up to London to receive our ‘Green Champion Award 2023’ for sustainability at the Houses of Parliament as part of the Green Apple Awards, an annual international campaign to recognise, reward and promote environmental best practice around the world.

As if that wasn’t enough, we were also surprised on the day with the ‘Champion of Champions Award 2023! Unbelievable.

It’s a really wonderful feeling to have so many others recognise the true impact of what we are doing and this award is just another testament to the hard working, passionate team we have here at Waste to Wonder Worldwide.

We would like to congratulate all the other finalists and winners at this year’s Green Apple Awards and a big thank you to the judges, who each understood the social impact value that is delivered through each and every project we do.

Lots of exciting things are happening here at the moment and we can’t wait to see what the future holds.

Anticipation Builds: Our Excitement for COP28 in Dubai

The countdown has begun, and the anticipation is palpable – Our Managing Director Michael Amos is thrilled to be attending COP28 UAE in the vibrant city of Dubai. This gathering represents a beacon of hope, a platform where minds converge, ideas flourish, and the collective will to combat climate change shines brighter than ever.

Dubai, with its awe-inspiring skyline and forward-thinking spirit, serves as the perfect backdrop for this pivotal event. The juxtaposition of modernity and environmental consciousness is a testament to the emirate’s commitment to sustainable progress. It is a city that showcases what is possible when innovation and environmental stewardship walk hand in hand.

As we prepare to step onto the global stage at COP28, we are filled with a sense of purpose and determination. We recognize that the challenges we face are immense, but so too is our collective capacity for change. The exchange of knowledge, the forging of partnerships, and the unveiling of groundbreaking solutions promise to be the hallmarks of this momentous occasion.

The opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and visionary leaders from around the world is nothing short of exhilarating. It is a chance to be part of a global movement, to contribute our voices and those of the disadvantaged communities we support and share ideas and positive action striving for a more sustainable future.

The energy and passion that will permeate the conference halls are bound to be infectious, leaving an indelible mark on all who attend and we are delighted that Waste to Wonder Worldwide will be represented.

As Michael packs his bag and ready himself for this transformative journey, our hearts are filled with gratitude to the  British Chambers of Commerce and the British Business Group Dubai and Northern Emirates (BBG) for inviting us to take part. COP28 UAE in Dubai represents a pivotal moment in our shared history, and we are honoured to be a part of it.

Together, let us seize this opportunity to forge a path towards a sustainable future, leaving an enduring legacy for generations to come.

Buy Social Corporate Challenge impact
As a Social Enterprise UK member, we’ve been matched up with leading businesses on the Buy Social Corporate Challenge, which brings more social enterprises into big supply chains.

Thanks to this groundbreaking initiative, we’ve won contracts from big companies such as PWC in Dubai, Zurich in Switzerland, Astrid Zeneca in Dubai, AXA, CBRE, Compass group, Mitie, Nationwide, NFU Mutual and Sodexo. It’s great to see these major players committed to buying from social enterprise suppliers, using their purchasing power to have a positive impact.

A new report on the Challenge reveals this year has been the biggest and best yet, seeing corporate partners spend £99 million with social enterprises – making £355 million in total since this all began in 2016. The social value at the heart of our work is clearly a growing trend in the wider business world, and we’re pleased to be leading the way.
