Everybody Wins.

We provide cost-effective, large scale clearance solutions that promote the ethical reuse of furniture and equipment whilst also supporting our client’s environmental, social, and governance ambitions and as part of our service we also produce videos and reports to provide customers with auditable evidence of their sound investment.

On average, 97% of the goods we clear have been re-used, just 3% have been recycled, and none of it has been sent to landfill.

The Challenge

Working with our partner CBRE, we needed to clear 6,000 items from two IBM sites in Rochdale and Stourport simultaneously. All of this needed to take place under Covid Safe Working protocols with minimal disruption to the service we offer for our customers.

The Solution

To closely liaise with CBRE and clear 2,200 seating positions within 5 weeks. We needed to ensure minimal disruption and maximum reuse while keeping all members of staff safely distanced and adhering to COVID-19 working practices. With sea freight unaffected by COVID-19, we were confident we could continue to achieve excellent reuse and CSR results on this project. To see this case study in action, view our video:

Reuse Rate

IBM and CBRE have been keen advocates of the Waste to Wonder process for over a decade and they have helped transform lives for thousands of young people as a result.

We were delighted they asked us to help them with this project and are extremely proud of the results we’ve delivered for them. By choosing to use our process, both buildings were cleared within 5 weeks and we managed to redistributed over 6,000 of their redundant items to charitable causes around the world.

This fantastic 100% reuse rate enabled 12 ‘School in a Box’ shipments to be sent to support education in Cameroon and Romania. Furthermore, we are delighted to have saved our customers considerable disposal costs by achieving 100% redistibution, as well as offset considerable environmental impact by enabling these items to be reused.

Once again we would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to the CBRE FM team and to IBM for your support, and we are thrilled to share yet another outstanding CSR and environmental success.

The Legacy

The CSR and Environmental commitment of IBM and CBRE has enabled thousands of perfectly reusable equipment to enjoying a second life enhancing opportunities for others in Limbe, Cameroon and Sacele, Romania.

Our recipient organisations – The Mokwe Development Association in Cameroon and FAST Romania – are passionate advocates for helping disadvantaged young people by providing health, social and educational support for hundreds of families. Their causes are truly inspiring and each School in a Box donation makes a considerable difference to this organisations.

In fact, we were so happy to hear that FAST Romania are even building a second Mission House School as a result of their First Mission House School proving so successful. They recently shared how they were able to deploy some of the table tops as concrete moulds for the retaining walls for the new building.

Our charity partners are constantly proving that with ingenuity and passion, our customers’ redundant items really can do something wonderful!
