By far the biggest challenge of this 8,000 item office clearance for The Financial Conduct Authority was clearing items from 17 floors at their previous flagship office in the busy and bustling Canary Wharf district. The physical toll of this job was extremely challenging as well as the level of congestion surrounding this site, and as a Safe Contractor approved clearance provider, we ensured we accounted for the extra difficulty in our project preparation.
This project required careful and meticulous planning to ensure that everyone was clear on their roles to safely remove such vast amounts of furniture.

Items donated to local causes
We were delighted with the results we achieved from this project. Not only did we manage to save considerable financial and environmental costs for our client, but their 90% reuse donation has created a lasting CSR legacy domestically and around the world.
In our project report, we were able to share that almost 1000 items were donated to London based charities in their local community. Slightly further afield, over 200 items went to support Fairfield Farm College in Wiltshire which is a registered Charity Specialist College for students with learning disabilities.
Finally, over 900 items were sent through our flagship School in a Box Initiative to enhance educational opportunities for disadvantaged communities in India, Gambia, Romania and South Africa. We have also raised funds to support our School in a Box initiative for 2019, which will continue to lift young people out of poverty around the world through education.
