Everybody Wins.

We provide cost-effective, large scale clearance solutions that promote the ethical reuse of furniture and equipment whilst also supporting our client’s environmental, social, and governance ambitions and as part of our service we also produce videos and reports to provide customers with auditable evidence of their sound investment.

On average, 97% of the goods we clear have been re-used, just 3% have been recycled, and none of it has been sent to landfill.

The Challenge

Working with our partner Wagstaff Interiors Group, we needed to clear over 90 tonnes of equipment and furniture from leading professional services firm Marsh McLennan‘s Tower Place West offices. With 3,200 items in total, Waste to Wonder would be tasked with ethically redistributing as many as the items as possible to charitable causes.

The Solution

For over 150 years, Marsh McLennan have been creating possibilities for their clients. By partnering with Wagstaff and Waste to Wonder to manage this ethical clearance, they were to create even more opportunities young people around the world by donating through our School in a Box initiative, and our Challenge100 campaign. The Legacy

The CSR and environmental commitment of Marsh McLennan and Wagstaff Interiors Group has enabled thousands of crucial items to be diverted from waste and enjoy a second life enhancing opportunities for others.

A significant amount was donated via The Mokwe Development Association in Cameroon, an organisation that is a passionate advocate for helping disadvantaged young people by providing health, social and educational support for hundreds of families. Through their association, items from this project have been donated to schools, charities and a vocational training centre called OIC.

We’re delighted that 100% of the items in this project went to ethical reuse, making a huge difference to the lives of significantly disadvantaged communities. While the fair market value of these items was over £182,000, the estimated retail price would be £1.4 million, demonstrating just how generous this donation is.

We thank Wagstaff Interiors Group for partnering with us, and Marsh McLennan’s incredible donation to Challenge100. This project will have a generational impact for young people, transforming their educational opporunities.
