Waste to Wonder Operations Director Vince Smith receiving his Workplace Leaders Top 50 2026 award after also being recognised with Exemplary status.

Waste to Wonder is delighted to celebrate our Operations Director, Vince Smith, who officially received his Workplace Leaders Top 50 Award at this year’s Workplace Leaders Top 50 Celebration at the Hurlingham Club.

Alongside being recognised as one of the UK’s Workplace Leaders Top 50, Vince was also awarded Exemplary status, recognising his outstanding contribution to the workplace and facilities management industry and placing him amongst the highest-performing leaders honoured this year.

Vince attended the celebration alongside our Charity Partnership Manager, Hayley Smith, joining workplace professionals from across the UK to celebrate the individuals redefining leadership and shaping the future of workplace experience.

A Well-Deserved Recognition

The Workplace Leaders Top 50 celebrates individuals who consistently demonstrate exceptional leadership, innovation and a commitment to making a lasting difference within the workplace industry.

Receiving the additional Exemplary recognition reflects not only Vince’s operational expertise, but also his commitment to creating positive environmental and social outcomes through every project he delivers.

For those who know Vince, this recognition comes as no surprise.

Over the past decade at Waste to Wonder, Vince has helped deliver ethical office clearances, sustainable workplace relocations and furniture reuse projects that have supported organisations across the UK, Europe and North America. His operational expertise has ensured that thousands of items have been given a second life, helping charities, schools and communities while reducing environmental impact for our clients.

His leadership has been instrumental in turning complex workplace projects into opportunities for both environmental sustainability and social good.

A Career Built on Purpose

Vince’s route into the workplace industry wasn’t conventional.

After spending 26 years in the catering industry, a chance meeting with Waste to Wonder introduced him to a completely different career path. Drawn to the organisation’s mission of reducing waste while supporting underserved communities around the world, he found a role where operational excellence could deliver genuine social impact.

Ten years later, that purpose continues to drive everything he does.

Speaking in the Workplace Leaders Top 50 publication, Vince reflected on what the recognition means to him:

“I’m so proud to be a part of an inspiring group of top performers and game changers. I’m also privileged to be surrounded by a fantastic team who actually drive me to go above and beyond.”

Leadership That Creates Lasting Impact

When asked what it takes to be a workplace leader, Vince highlighted the importance of commitment, dedication and understanding team values.

That philosophy is reflected every day across Waste to Wonder’s operations, where projects are delivered with precision while ensuring furniture, equipment and workplace assets create the greatest possible environmental and social value.

Whether managing a major corporate relocation or helping furnish schools and charities around the world, Vince’s focus has always remained the same: finding practical solutions that create meaningful outcomes.

Congratulations, Vince

Everyone at Waste to Wonder is incredibly proud of Vince and this fantastic achievement.

Congratulations on being named one of the Workplace Leaders Top 50 and on receiving Exemplary recognition. Your leadership continues to make a difference for our clients, our partners and the communities we support around the world.
